Growth Phase

As of this posting Tara is 35 weeks pregnant.  This means that she can only be comfortable for 5 minutes in any given position, including in bed, while her doting husband attempts to sleep!  But it hasn't always been this way.  Here are a few of the pictures from the start of the pregnancy.

We didn't know it at the time, but the little guy was implanting himself into Tara's endometrium in this picture.

It was a snowy winter in the Northeast! This is snow pile from our street in January!

For the Baby-moon, we drove up to Montreal for the start of spring!  I convinced Tara that walking up the steps to Saint-Joseph du-Mont-Royal would yield a great view.  I was lucky to get a smile after this trek.

His 1st Yankees game! April 30th, 2011.  Yankees beat the Blue Jays 5-4, of course!

Two weeks later on our back porch on a beautiful spring day.

The Beginning

After 11 months, and lots of science, we had cause to celebrate! Here are a few of the early highlights:
  • 6 weeks - first ultrasound to hear the heartbeat
  • 12 weeks - Nuchal Scan - all clear
  • 16 weeks - Amniocentesis (Tara, at the ripe old age of 36, is considered a geriatric mom don'tcha know) - discovered that we have a healthy baby boy on the way
  • 20 weeks - halfway point, the announcement was made beyond our closest family
